AP records about 80% polling for Assembly, LS seats: EC

Andhra Pradesh recorded nearly 80 per cent in polling in Assembly and Lok Sabha elections for which were held on Thursday, said the Election Commission.

While the percentage for 175 assembly seats stood at 79.64, that of 25 Lok Sabha constituencies registered 79.74 per cent, according to the final figures released by the Election Commission here on Saturday. This indicated a marginal increase of 1.23 per cent over the polling percentage of 78.14 recorded in 13 districts of the then united Andhra Pradesh, the election commission said.

Of the total 3,93,45,717 voters in the state, 3,13,33,163 cast their votes for the 319 Lok Sabha candidates and 3,13,33,631 for the 2,118 assembly contestants.

For Lok Sabha, 1,55,46,213 men exercised their franchise but the number fell to 1,55,45,211 when it came to the Assembly. In the case of women, 1,57,87,759 cast votes for the Assembly and 1,57,86,285 for the Lok Sabha. The vote count of transgenders was 665 for Lok Sabha and 661 for Assembly. The overall difference of votes polled for Lok Sabha and Assembly, thus, was 468.

No...don’t ridicule with numbers such as 20 lakh and 25..

no massive voter deletions have happened as claimed, it’s a silly propaganda by TDP. 

Even in TG, no massive voter deletions have happened. 

Yes, 10pm is absolutely okay. When people have no problem casting the vote, what problem do you have ?

Morning 4am anta...state la ekada kuda 10pm-11pm tarvata asalu voting ayinattu sakshalu ae levu...about 20-30 booth where EVm’s We’re changed, polling continued till 10pm.

evadra adda gadida 4am varaku polling ayindi ani chepindi ? Chepinodu oka gadida, vinnodu inkoka adda gadidha

why you care about TG, TG  leaders are there for that.They are not even bothered about it, they are not considering that as their reason for their defeat

10 PM should be ok ante, mana India lo emanna takkuva population unda, world's second biggest population, 900 Million people are casting their votes, Problem with Elections commission kadu, problem is with the Govt. of India they are not allocating separate funds to improve  Election Commission Infrastructure and their functioning anthe

With VVPATs, it takes about 30-40 seconds to cast the vote for both aeembky and parliament...on an average, 1 minute per vote is the efficiency...

ante per hour 60 votes, morning 8 to evening 6, ante 10 hours voting lo about 600-800 votes padtayi...two sets of EVm’s Pedithe about 1200-1600 votes padutayi

what if a polling booth has more than 2000-3000 votes and voting has delayed to EVM’s ? 

Of course it runs through the night, Election commission has clearly said anyone who ade in the line will be given a chance to vote and in in multiple places, this has been honoured and there have no reports of anyone turning back from polling booth with out voting...

Now, where is the issue and what is the issue ?
