MS Narayana: Remembering the legend of comedies

If MS Narayana was alive, he would be celebrating his 67th birthday today, on 16 April. Notable comedian of Tollywood film industry, MS Narayana was born in the year 1951, on this day. He left for heavenly abode on 23 January 2015, leaving his fans and colleagues in shock and distress.

Known for his hilarious timing sense, he is undeniably a comic commodity we have had in Telugu cinemas. He started his career at the age of 47, in 1996 and within a short span, he acted in more than 700 films, leaving a special place for him in the league of historic comedians.

MS' output has always significantly risen and this made him one of the biggest comedy stars of the decade. He would effortlessly act in any given role and at a certain point of time, directors demanded his presence in movies.

While most of his movies are worth watching on a loop, let's take a look at his critically acclaimed performances:

Anandam: This 2001 romantic love story has MS Narayana in a pivotal role and his performance made everyone in the theatre to remember for a long, long time. He played the role of a house owner and one of the popular scenes where MS is seen dancing on glass-pieces received innumerable applause.

Sontham: Who can forget 'Lecturer Bhogeswara Rao's character?  MS Narayana's character became famous for shouting Jihad at an untimely situation and posing funnily for photographs along with Chitram Srinu. People cannot stop laughing even today for his innovative role.

Dookudu: Known for his ultimate comedy in Dookudu, MS Narayana, even at the age of 59, entertained audience with hilarious acting as Bokka Venkateshwara Rao. He gave an award-winning performance with his sheer entertainment value and funny dialogues.

Baadshah: Baadshah is a 2013 movie, starring Jr.NTR. The role of 'Revenge Nageswara Rao' by MS Narayana is one of the greatest scenes ever made in his career. His scene with anchor Suma, interviewing him, showed his powerful acting prowess. He played the role of a film director in the funniest way possible.

Many other popular roles from movies like Khatarnak as a Traffic police officer, Dubai Seenu as Salman Raj, Seemasastri as Vaikuntam, Saarocharu as Platinum Prasad, and Pilla Zamindar as Uddhandam made him stand out among many comedians in the South industry.  He was honoured with Nandi awards for films like Dookudu and Sivamani.

He is unequivocally the rock star in the comedy sector; we wish MS Narayan garu a very Happy Birthday and thank him for leaving us behind tons of laughs for all of us to enjoy.

MG generates more fun than bemmi  in my opinion
