FATCA 8938 form every year file cheyali ikkada and Fbar kooda and Interest amount meeda tax filing lo ikkada tax kattali. NRI laku idantha undani ippudu evaru india banks lo FD cheyatleru anduke. Lots of tax related paper work.

fixed deposit calculations are pretty much to reality ...except that you all forgot the compounded value....

Most banks or perhaps,, all banks in India do a quarterly compound interest to fixed deposits....

An example :

An amount if 1 crore invested in fixed deposit at the rate of 7% for the duration of 1 year, the total interest earned would be Rs.718590.31 but not 7,00,000.00, that is an increase of 18,590.31 as this extra component is the result of compound interest paid quarterly to the principle.

Equivalent to 59,882 rupees per month...just an estimate but one will not get it monthly.

This is the account which can get deposit from both India and US...

NRE anukunta... not NRO..my mistake..

NRE and NRO Both give interest on the money. one more difference is, with ICICI NRE Account you can only transfer funds into your account and cannot receive money from an outsider account(Friends/family/3rd party) from India. with NRO you can receive the amount from outsider account in India too.
