France unveils international architect competition to rebuild the Notre Dame spire

French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe announced on Wednesday that an international architectural competition for the reconstruction of the Notre Dame spire will be organized. The 93-metre spire was undergoing restoration when it was destroyed by a fierce blaze in the cathedral on April 15.
