Calcutta was a much busier city than Bombay and was on par with other cities like Hong Kong,Yangoon before the WW-2.  Perhaps Kolkata was much bigger and weltheir city than Shanghai,Hong Kong and singapore was not even in the vicinity...

and yet AP is borrowing at highest rate of speed and highest rate of % interest ..

Rice,Mangoes,vegetable  export is not growing fast enough ...aqua is only respite

Industrial growth is picking up, manufacturing and IT yet to take off

Tourism,animal husbandry  has immense potential (they can laugh at kcr but he is far ahead) ,Heritage is killing local Dairies,

Liquor/Excise is only savior Revenue,Registrations,transport is ok

Babu is busy in selling all natural resources and creating layouts for Realestate

and freebies going to be a big let down for Middle class man with imploding education and health costs and poor hygienic conditions

more or less KCR is able to survive sole on Urban Development  he is neither a great wealth creator too .
