You have only option to choose pay the hefty price for lift irrigation to save farmers or keep calm like congress and do scams.

Your argument makes sense for agriculture returns. If farmers are going to be get enough returns in crops output compared to lift irrigation expenses is the question.

But not for drinking water for people. You think we should relocate TG people to somewhere else in future if no drinking water is there in future rather than spending on projects now ?

Don't you buy water through tanks if there is water crisis in summer. This project will be similar to that.

I didn't expect this comment from JP. Because TG is a land where the water flows down and the land is upwards, for which there is no other option than Lift Irrigation projects. Water is the lifeline and without building these projects how can we use that water in Godavari which is flowing into the oceans every year? Ofcourse cost wise, it is a burden on the state but imagine Hyderabad and farmers in villages suffering for water in the next few years. Governments across the world are struggling to find water and here we are commenting against building a project to store water. I have lost respect on this fellow.
