JeM Chief Masood Azhar was designated as a Global Terrorist for years to which China had opposed. However on Thursday finally China relented with the decision which now makes him a global terrorist. This brings about a massive diplomatic win for India.

 

But what made China change the decision, maybe the global pressure or maybe the Beijing being isolated from the rest of the world or even maybe, it might look that China is in a way supporting terrorism.

 

Let’s take a look at the reasons of China which made it not to obstruct the decisions to appoint the name Masood Azhar a Global Terrorist.

 

The isolation of China publicly, when the matter would be issued for open discussions at UNSC, would affect its trade and would be held responsible for sponsoring the terrorist activities.

 

India pilled a pressure at bilateral meetings, and the three countries US, UK and France informal proposals in UNSC, forced China to finally relent on 1^st May.
