Yes it postpartum depression, but how it got triggered so badly? may be husband and wife argumented about baby gender emo and she got triggered. 

sadly manam usa lo unna, mana valla medha India nunchi chala presurre untundhi for baby boy and it especially true if first child is girl. and It takes few days or weeks to get over with it.
