With 80 percent of the votes counted, the ruling African National Congress (ANC) party is expected to claim victory in South Africa’s elections on Friday, but with a reduced majority. It is the first electoral test for President Cyril Ramaphosa, who assumed power last year after pledging to battle corruption in the country. His party has been in power since 1994.
