@bhaigan maayya geographically speaking Tirupathi Chennai daggara daggara ne.. So Atu velli itu kuda cover cheskuntu undi undachu.. Because aa rojullo travel is not as convenient as today's..

 

And there were cases where they had Ntr as god picture may be not for religious reasons especially but aa rojullo pouranikaalu baa undatam Valla aayana God posters pettukuni undachu.. Recent decade lo YSR meedha abhimaanam tho YSR photo kuda pettukunnaru kadha janaalu.. So it's kind of abhimaanam more than God ani Pooja... Even 90's lo youth heroes cricketers post pettukunevallu andaru.. Just a thought I am not completely contradicting your statements but Ila kuda ayyi undachu anedi Naaku anipinchindi..
