India is not proud of it's religion, but culture. Culture evolves from Religion. Religion is a personal choice, not a nation's choice. The US is not proud of Christianity, whoever said that is purely making an assumption. India is not a Hindu nation, but because of the demographics, India has a rich culture, which it should be proud of.... merely being Hindu doesn't make the cut.
