But you have some pretty hard assumptions on coverage and how insurance works. There is no law like every FTE is insured for 150K automatically. You have to pay. If the person did not enroll it is their fault. I agree.

Coming to that gofundme platform - if you set a target for 50K and if the fund reaches 45K they automatically bump that to a next target automatically. This is where gofundme gets a lot of bad press. The person who created the gofundme needs to manually turn off the funding.

Because of assholes like u , in some genuine cases we are hesitant to donate. If u want to donate , do it or else just  off.
