I heard they solved the electricity shortage issue. Have they solved the water shortage issue? The hundreds of gallons of hot water we get to use for shower in the US, is that possible even a fraction of it? We can generate electricity but how can we generate water to meet the demand of so many people?

What are the long range plans for population growth, traffic and pollution and corruption and...? China adopted a one-child policy, Philippines uses color-coded cars on weekdays and most of their people went for bikes, etc.

Many people may not mind moving back to India if these basic issues to meet the essentials are resolved.

China realized back in 1980 that overpopulation is the root cause of all problems and enacted their strict one-child policy (slightly relaxed in 2013 for families with 4-2-1 hierarchy issue). China's population reached the billion mark in 1982. In 2019, China's population stands at 1.418 billion, the largest of any country in the world. ... China's population growth rate is only 0.59%, ranking 159th in the world. Their one-child policy is estimated to have prevented up to 400 million births as of 2015 since it was instituted 35 years ago.

China population: 1.42 billion (growth rate 0.59%, rank 159)

India population: 1.37 billion (growth rate 1.1%, rank 112)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One-child_policy

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_India

The pace of India's population growth, now at 15 million per year, is the world's largest. ... For example, if India's current fertility of 2.3 births per woman remains constant, its population would grow to 1.8 billion by 2050 and 2.5 billion by 2100 (almost TWICE as it is now, EEEEWW!). India is set to overtake China in 2030 and become the No.1 most populous country. While India's population is expected to reach 1.53 and 1.68 billion by mid-2030 and mid-2050, China's is likely to reach 1.42 billion by mid-2030 and then fall to 1.34 billion by mid-2050. India will replace China as the world's most populous country.

Many scientists think Earth has a maximum carrying capacity of 9 billion to 10 billion people. The optimum population of Earth – enough to guarantee the minimal physical ingredients of a decent life to everyone – was 1.5 to 2 billion people rather than the 7.7 billion who are alive today. According to United Nations predictions it could reach 9.7 billion people by 2050, and over 11 billion by 2100.

Will eating less spices reduce population growth rate? Just asking...

What we need is young, highly educated politicians - not these old, senile, illiterate, corrupt goons who cannot even think and advise people to produce more children!!

BHARAT - where are you?? We need you!

Water. biggest problem in India in the future. Yes they are planning to solve this issue by linking rivers like stupidfcuks.

none of the cities have an efficient water management. They just keep exploiting more water sources from closer sources.

India will be fcuked if someone doesn't push Indians towards conserving, and storing water in lakes etc. India has enough water, but wastes a lot of it.

people moving to India from especially water abundant Canada are idiots.

they'll build more dams like stupids, divert water like idiots, but won't store water. India is a uniquely stupid place.

all that individual brilliance of Indians vanishes out of the window, when they get together in a group. they become monkeys intent on one-upping each other, and not solving problems.

fcuk india.

India will probably be the only country that will starve for water, even when it rains above avg compared to the rest of the world.

China too - no drinking water in a few years (all because of overpopulation)
