please provide details about how to apply for OCI card for US born kid.

em em documents kavali and process enti ..? Need the steps or proper route ..

Overall entha time padthadi motham complete kaataniki?  August lo India plan undi .

full time untey OCI chesko... ledantey Visitor Visa apply cheyyu.. both are almost same.. nothing special about OCI unless you want to join your kid in a school or something in India..

By august - most likely, not possible .

It takes min about 2 months - lot of go&forthe process(passport), so if u r planning in aug, not a good idea to apply OCI now. 

 

Instead, go for Visa on Arrival option.

By August is very very close...Apply for Visa you will get it in a week ...Then apply for OCI and you can travel to India even after applying OCI ...

Only drawback to money waste as you will be doing Visa and OCI both .. tenor.gif?itemid=8412189

Visitors Visa apply chesko....5 years vastundi n premium apply cheste 2 weeks lo vacchestundi...neeku kudirinapudu oci apply chey, oci mandatory kaadu only needed if ur kid will be staying in India for more than 6 months

 Ckgs thru cheyali motham checklist andhulo untadi. Below are the main docs

baby passport 

birth certif

parents passports

legal us us status docs

marriage certif

drivers license or utility bill for proof of addr

2 passport pics baby vi

275 plus service fee plus return courier charges around 325 ki cc payment or cashier check or money order 

paivi anni originals unnatu notary - this form is available in their website

minor kabati parent authorization form with notary -  this form is available in their website

application fill chei both ckgs and govt of ind

duration - 60days for oci card

us Passport- 15days lo vachidi

Aug travel ayithe most likely oci raadhu so plan accordingly

Dont apply for OCI if yow plan to settle down long term in US.

Visa is vaid for 10 years and no need to reissue if you get a new passport.

OCI is only given until validity of passport 5 years max for children.

Every 5 years you need to apply for pp & oci

You are right ... Just saying if wants he has plans of kid staying longer than 6 months... then he has to do immediately kada.. anduku told..tenor.gif?itemid=8412189
