Minimum payed jobs comes under unskilled category where their salary wont get increased yearly like ours does.  If you have problem with the system fight against the system, don't penalize minimum payed worker for your hypocrisy. 

 

 

 

You are mistaken brother. Tips are shared among all workers - including chef based on a formula.  Bus boys, waiters get $2.13 cents per hour... they rely on tips.

Most states. Restaurant workers don't come under state minimum wage in all states. See here :

That is tipped wage.... the total has to come to min wage ultimately...otherwise the employer has to increase his min wage as per the rule... if his Tipped wage + Min wage  is not reaching Min common wage ..vadu increase cheyali..... so utlimate ga valaku vachedhu...nuvu ichina link lo undhi chudu Notes.... andhulo  undhi correct ga... Tipped wages is over the Min wage... 2$ /hr tho makugalu kuda brathakaru bhayya

Not in all states - see the table. Some states need to meet the min. wage, but not all. 

Think about it - without tips, waiters, bus boys can only make minimum wage. Chefs, his assitants get their wages and get no extra money. This is not what they expect - they work in restaurants to make a little bit more than min. wage. 

You need more skills to work in restaurant than walmart - so why would they settle for minimum wage?
