Once it reaches prakasam barrage...next destination is bay of bengal..so any excess water in Krishna will flow  into the sea..

Singur and nizamsagar catchment area had no good rainfall even though they are in godavari area...

Sriramsagar will be filled by kaleshwaram project ..daily 1tmc...

Kaleshwaram is work in progress, only link 1 is near 100% and the rest are at various stages and link 1 reservoirs are filled to the brim and since rest of the other stages are being worked on the water is being let out into godavari, the next major mile stone is sriram sagar and mid manair, still works are going on and hence they planned to lift only 1 tmc starting end of this month to sriram sagar. Hopefully if they fill srsp and mid manair that itself is an excellent achievement since Srsp has been bone dry for decades and not receiving much inflows. It has 90 tmc capacity so it will irrigate few lakh acres if they can fill it up this year. The final link(nalgonda/ranga reddy/medak) in Kaleshwaram is 2-3 years away

కర్నాటక, మహారాష్ట్రలో భారీ వర్షాల కారణంగా వరద నీరు ఉధృతంగా ప్రవహించి ప్రాజెక్టులను పరవళ్లు తొక్కిస్తున్నాయి. గత నాలుగు రోజులుగా జూరాల ప్రాజెక్టు, తుంగభద్ర డ్యామ్‌, శ్రీశైలం ప్రాజెక్ట్‌ నుంచి గేట్లు తెరిచి లక్షల క్యూసెక్కుల నీటిని దిగువకు వదులుతున్నారు. జూరాల ప్రాజెక్టుకు కర్నాటక నుంచి 8లక్షల42వేల క్యూసెక్యుల నీరు వచ్చి చేరుతుండగా 60 గేట్లను ఎత్తి 8లక్షల 21వేల క్యూసెక్యుల నీటిని దిగువ ప్రాంతమైన శ్రీశైలం ప్రాజెక్టుకు వదులుతున్నారు. సోమవారం సాయంత్రం ఏడు గంటలకు శ్రీశైలం ప్రాజెక్టు రిజర్వాయర్‌ ప్రాజెక్టు 10 గేట్లను ఓపెన్‌ చేసి ఏడు లక్షల 47 వేల 350 వేల క్యూసెక్కుల నీటిని దిగువకు వదిలారు. సుంకేసుల బ్యారేజీ ప్రాజెక్టు నుంచి రెండులక్షలపైగా వరద నీరు ప్రవహిస్తోంది. శ్రీశైలం ప్రాజెక్ట్‌ నుంచి ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌ పవర్‌ హౌస్‌వాళ్లు2959 క్యూసెక్కులు, తెలంగాణ పవర్‌హస్‌వాళ్లు38140 క్యూసెక్కుల నీటిని వినియోగించుకుంటున్నారు. గత మూడు రోజులుగా ప్రభుత్వ కార్యాలయాలకు పాఠశాలలకు సెలవులు రావడంతో శ్రీశైలం ప్రాజెక్టు చూడడానికి పర్యాటకులు అధిక సంఖ్యలో తరలివస్తున్నారు. దీంతో నల్లమలలోని తాండురు, శ్రీశైలం, హైదరాబాద్‌, మహబూబ్‌ నగర్‌ ప్రధాన రహదారి రద్దిగా మారింది.

This is what i know, might be completely bullshittt but

Kaleshwaram project will never reverse pump water into SRSP.

SRSP has  canals like kakatiya, laxmi and saraswathi  that were supposed to supply irrigation water to karimnagar ,warangal , some parts of nalgonda and khammam.

Since Babli started storing, Hardly any water reaches SRSP from rains in Nashik- maharasthra  catchment basin. monna karnataka lo paddattu kundapotha gaa padthey thappa maharasthra wont leave water down the line to SRSP.
 

Now that SRSP is unable to provide water via canals adequately, kaleshwaram fills the gap by utilizing pranahitha water (coming from un restricted catchment areas) and using reverse pumping them in steps and then draning that water all the way to SRSP flood flow canal that can fill water all the way to mid and lower manair.

You are right, canal from Kaleshwaram is linked  to kakatiya canal to supplement water to srsp
