Just 2% interest for 1 year.

Very Reasonable

I am guessing its Discover.

This is not a loan.

I have a capitalone credit card for $30000 and I paid it off last year and stopped using it. Now out of $30,000 I am doing $29000 balance transfer which means they will send me a check for $29,000. There is a fee for Balance transfer which is 2% meaning I will pay $580 fee which is already paid.

Balance transfer works in such a way that since you are paying a 2% fee , there won't be any interest for 1 year.  So I won't pay any more interest on the $29580 till next Sep 2020.  If the balance remains after Sep 2020 then they will start charging 24.5%. I will probably pay it off in 6 months.

Every credit card has a different balance transfer offers. Some 2% fee, some 3% ( Citi) and some 4% (Chase). Some offers, there is no fee but they will charge the 24.5% apr on the balance transfer.

Another advantage is that there is no credit check on this since it is your credit card.

Any more questions ?
