Divine coming down as sruti of lord to a sage. It all started with one man. There were no psychiatric hospitals at that time to treat mental disorders for sages. Can you guarantee its not mental illness.

How about the one that claims himself to be a messenger of God, and the only messenger of God. Not to mention sleeps around with pre pubescent girls and considers them lucky to sleep with him since he's the messenger of God? 

I think he's a meglomaniac and delusional beyond belief, sad he got applauded as a messenger instead of being acknowledged as a schizophrenic.
