jubilee Hills: It has been the norm for individuals to study MBBS for four years, practise as a house surgeon for a year and only then become a qualified doctor. However, the National Medical Commission (NMC) Bill, proposed by the Centre, seeks to introduce a 'bridge course' of 6 months for practitioners of alternative medicine (like Ayurveda, Unani, etc) to be eligible to practise medicine.

You do know that this will pave way for more medical colleges right? Once a central exam is put in place, the quality of the teaching staff at most colleges will become irrelevant. Colleges will not care whether a student is good or not when they r taking admission. All they will care about is making money and admit more students. Clearing the final exam is the student’s responsibility.

MBBS lo seats chaala limited .. they cannot take whomever they want .. entrance rasi jerutharu .. junk students will put effort to pass the exam
