Department of mines and technology’s report ‘Telangana Mineral Resources and Initiatives’ revealed that in the past five years Telangana had earned Rs 16,060 crore, while the revenue in 10 years in the United AP was only Rs 12,048 crore.
Andhra witnessed 17% growth, while Telangana logged 31% growth, behind 77% of Odisha and 32% of Rajasthan. Odisha recorded steep increase in mineral revenue due to boost in iron ore dispatches on account of stoppage of iron ore mining in Goa by the Supreme Court.
