I used to work in 24x7 shifts & used to get weekday offs  Anduke office ki velledappudu/vachedappudu full gaa kumming..Y rey ante office work busy..you guys carry machi anevadini.

Only breakfast aappudappudu vallatho chesevadini

I could manage happily.

Spending priorities are different for different people. Intha matter cheppi, end of the day you cant afford your own apt antunnav. Your priority was to share a room with 6 people and use the saved money for whatever you want (Lets say food in this case).  From the perspective of a person who rents his own apartment, you would look Kanjoos to him too.  Its depends on whichever glasses you are looking from. Most of our guys are conservative, it would take sometime for them to catch up with guy like you. Just explain them what you feel.

Like other friends said, find someone who is compatible with you as a roommate. Find someone at your, who you think is compatible with you and see if they would like to share a room with you.

Bottomline: if your frequency and wavelength doesn't match, choose other options like finding a new apartment with people who might best suit your behavior.

Yes man, we south Indians are kanjooos. Some of us don't eat outside and some of us share room with 5 other people even though we are working.

jokes apart, if you are living with 5 other people, some might be compatible and some might not be. Either adjust, move or man up and tell them what you feel instead of complaining on online forums if you really want a solution. Good luck!!
