India's LGBTQ community celebrate their first 'real' Independence Day

In September 2018, India's Supreme Court revoked a colonial-era law, known as Section 377, which made homosexuality a criminal act. Therefore, the country's LGBTQ community have been marking this year's Independence Day as their first real day of freedom, and have shared a video featuring activists, filmmakers and writers singing the national anthem.
