Gibraltar decides to release Iran oil tanker hours after US applies to seize it

A court in the British territory decided on Thursday to release the Iranian oil tanker Grace 1, multiple reports say. It was seized in July because it was suspected to be in breach of EU sanctions. Earlier in the day, the US Department of Justice made an application to block the release of the tanker as Iranian media reported that the tanker was due to be set free.
