China rejected Hong Kong’s submission to withdraw extradition bill

According to Reuters, China rejected formal submission from the Hong Kong government to withdraw a controversial extradition bill. This report came on Friday after three activist leaders, including Joshua Wong, were arrested in Hong Kong. Pro-democracy group Demosisto have since said Wong and fellow activist Agnes Chow have been granted bail.
