These temples were designed and built by the same caste - they handled everything from logistics to design to actual construction. Aa baaponodu vachindhi abracadabra ani pethannam cheyyadam kosam. AA kattina vallane gudi loki raakunda aaapatam.

Infact we never had proper designers as baapans get jealous if others learn while they themselves are useless in learning. No hindu temple implemented the arch a simple design pattern which saves so much material.

also Hoysaleswara Temple i still wonder how they got super smooth finishing on some of the pillars and statues. if its manually done then thats one hell of a work

It still continues and keeps most indians the poorest in the world.
