And aa psychological issues and drug vulnerabilities are mainly due to irresponsible (separated) parents ani popular opinion. This is where Indian marriage system rocks.

First of all, india lo physcologist daggaraku velthe pichodu antaaru... So, depression vunna kaani janalu aa problem ni address cheyadaniki psycologist la daggaraku vellaru. 

This basically narrows down to Individualism vs collectivism. Individualistic culture (Like US) lo people are open to acknowledge and talk about problems. They are open to ask help. Its exactly opposite in collective cultures like India.

Women started to work in US after great depression (1930's). Since then, they got financial independence. This helped women fight for equality. Before this period, US marriage culture was similar to Indian where divorces were very less (May be 1% like people here believe). Gradual increase in divorces can be directly attributed to financial independence in women and gender role reversal.

Indian women of this generation started working. Its just about the time, you will see increased divorce rates in India too. I already see that the rate got increased since i was young.

Haha very true and almost all of them not just live abroad but also file for permanent residency to live here forever even if it means waiting for a lot of years and decades to get them. I wonder why people choose to live here since they know how all this is better in India.
