BREAKING : At least six people stabbed in Tallahassee, FL

TALLAHASSEE, Fla — Authorities are on scene after multiple people were reportedly stabbed near Maryland Circle in Tallahassee.

The Tallahassee Police Department says they responded to the 2000 block of Maryland Circle around 8:37 a.m. regarding a report of a stabbing.

When officers arrived, they discovered multiple stabbing victims and provided immediate medical attention.

In a statement, Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare said it had received six patients from the incident.

"They are currently being evaluated by our medical team. We will provide an update as soon as more information becomes available," officials wrote in the statement.

It's not clear if other patients were sent to other area hospitals.

Police say a suspect is now in custody.

This case has been assigned to investigators with TPD's Violent Crimes Unit.
