how come people are missing one simple logic? All the official forms and communications, names, signs and boards all will be in Hindi, public office like railways, post offices, income tax, banks will be mandated to deal only in Hindi and that means regional languages older than Hindi will die a slow death in 40-50 years if we follow this.

India is a not a nation, it is a union of nations, as mentioned in the Preamble “Indian Union”.

India is Culturally one, since many centuries. The Unifying factor of India is only Hinduism and not the language.

I think you are exaggerating.... antha undadu, maybe they are just saying its good for everyone to learn hindi... already nuvu cheppina railway stations lo boards meedha hindi lo kooda raasi untai along with telugu and english... even many banks in hyd have hindi boards with telugu and english.... maybe konni documents kooda hindi lo untai kavochu but nothing more than that

dude what is the point of calling one nation one langauge. don't you get the intent?

Hindi is officially listed an official language along with 22 other languages. Infact it was Atulji who included 4 other languages during his tenure as official languages.

maybe they are just trying to push english into the second spot with this.... its almost like english is our national language with most of them talking and using english and also the govt using english for many documents and sign boards... 

overall I dont think this is a big deal, all languages will live but some official documents might include hindi now anthe... no one puts a gun to your head and ask you to talk in hindi so pipe down, nothing is going to happen with this

Learning language is a personal choice. English is the where the buck is and more over it is considered as a skillset than anything else, ideology is thrown out the window when it costs you economically, all the hate for christianity and islam but we love to live in dubai and the west that's the hypocracy I am talking about, I am sure Shah's kids might have gone to english medium international schools for schooling... tomorrow you will not be surprised to see gau-rakshaks selling leather shoes if there comes a time you have nothing but. All I am saying is personal choice and economics dictate than the governments.
