According to a hospital official, at least 24 people were killed in a bombing that targeted a campaign rally of President Ashraf Ghani in the province of Parwan. A bomb blast was also reported in Kabul shortly after, with the interior ministry saying at least 22 people were killed in that attack. The Taliban has claimed responsibility for both attacks.
