How do you define merit?

Merit is not required for employment. It only sees who fits. And to your question, I donno how to define merit. It was told to me that one who gets into IITs/IIMs are highly talented. But when I stepped into corporate world it's all a different story.

The country cap is for all three categories combined. Because more people with bachelors can get a H1B when compared to PhDs because PhDs have no preference to get a H1B. So more people with a bachelors' degree get to apply for GC earlier because it is first cum first serve. Because someone from an unnamed college will get a GC faster than someone with a PhD because he applied earlier. It is not merit-based, it is first-cum-first-serve.

There is already lot of injustice everywhere. PhD evadu cheyamannadu buddhi takkuva kakapothe antundi ee lokam simple ga. I am still not getting, how is it impacting EB1 ? Am sorry for being naive here.

A person from India who did a BSc in 2006 will get a GC before a person from Norway who did a PhD from Harvard in 2019. How it it fair? How is it merit based? The former will get a GC immediately while the later has to wait for 5 years.

Because we demand it. JK. They should come with  an alternate bill but if this passes, then next 9 years varuku no changes
