I agree TRS is not concentrating on infrastructure development especially in Hyderabad. But are they the only people to be blamed? Hyderabad oka mahanagaram. It's been there for centuries with continuous inhabitation.  drainage system motham bagucheyyali antey kastam. Not that easy.

In 2016, a plan was initiated to upgrade the drain and storm water canals in Hyderabad and the cost come up to 20,000 crores. The cost might have spiraled by another few thousand crores...

The state is in position to spend such an amount but land acquisition is a challenge..

Hyderabad’s drain system, which was created naturally by lakes and ponds was systematically destroyed and right now, we do not even have storm water canals for drain.

Thanks to all the visionaries who have built Hyderabad.

Drainage system ante patha areas lo emi cheyale la kotha areas lo cheyadaniki...

Old City actually has the best drainage...You will never see old city areas submerging in rain water.

Hilly areas lo kuda ie problem ledu endi kante low lying areas kinflow velipotado which is natural...

low lying areas lo canal system vuntadi to drain out to nearby lakes and poms which have been destroyed in the last 70 years or perhaps even before that..

Go to areas like king kotha, himayathnagar, koti, nampally, begumpet and you can see underground storm water drains draining out to musi and Hussain sagar....These were designed way back in 1930’s as open drains and these were covered in the last 70 years and nothing particularly has done for drain system.
