He basically shut down all media house that spoke against him. He also is good with blackmailing opposition rulers with illegal assets. Ilanti vidhyalu Jagan kuda nerchukunnadu. CBN is horrible with this kind of politics, he can't seem to get that if he has to win in elections, it takes more than working like an administrator.

Even in 2014, he is not good with politics man, if he really was good, he would have gotten a better deal while working with BJP. He had no clue of who to pair with, also he is very lenient with corrupt party workers. He is getting old as well.

It made him win sure, but if he did assess the people better he would have gotten more seats. Whenever CBN won in the past, he never gets a huge majority, he cannot get votes like NTR did. He fails in attracting voters like that.

I agree CBN never had a huge majority in votes even when he won. He doesn't have those skills. 

Now I would be questioning democracy itself when I say if having a following of the masses is necessarily a good thing or not, but it's true. It's the reason why China is doing what it's good at, and why Trump won elections.
