They are called special administrative regions of China that are not a part of mainland China. They have more autonomy on Government until 2047.

I didn't compare with Taiwan alone. I compared China and India and talked about how China is a worse evil. Because China doesn't give Taiwan freedom to be recognized as a country. China doesn't give freedom in Hongkong to practice democracy. China doesn't allow liberation of Tibet. China doesn't allow Muslims in Xinjiang and Buddhists in mainland practise their religion. Compare the human rights violation that China, US, Pakistan and Russia have done with that of India.

what's the need to 'solve' kashmir issue in such a hurry?

ask the govt to provide an account of how urgent the issue is, that it warrants house arresting 10million people.

they did it just so they can breastbeat, after they tanked the economy.

Because the special privileges started in 1997 to last for 50 years until 2047. Compare that to Kashmir that had special privileges for 70 years.
