PG&E says it could take days for power to be restored to Bay Area customers

Around 800,000 people could be affected by power outages starting on Wednesday. PG&E cited strong winds as a reason for the announcement, calling it a “last resort.” Once power outages are in place, it could take up to five days before service is fully restored across the Bay Area, according to the company.
