All the heroes of this film are productive castes - tillers, weavers, pottery makers, drama artists - the builders of civilization. Because he is a civilized westerner he made them center piece of his south indian film. Unproductive Priests were given just few seconds. If the same movie is made by a hindu - especially a brahmin or a feudal reddy or kamma. Temple and Idols will occupy more than half the time. And these productive castes will be abused as "chepala patte moham nuvvu" "chandaludu" etc.
