Bigil as a captain represents tamil nadu team. He brings pride for his nation (as said by jackie shroff). Bigil creates a legacy.

He dies somehow. Raayapan is a character of a local don. Michael is bigils twin brother who is not into football who is also like his father, a rowdy. Somehow jackie shroff (head of sports dept) is involved in the death of bigil as he stood up for nepotism & politics which was seen in football.

Micheal wants to continue bigils legacy in football and wants to prove jackie that he could do it. He is threatened so many times. His father stands up for him too. Raayapan believes that if micheal could coach for a team, he would prove Jackie that talent alone matters in the end. And through this bigils death could also be brought to spotlight to the media. Micheal trains the players.

This also reveals that micheal used to play good in street football back when he was a kid but he never had an intention to be a part of it until the decease of his brother.

Climax: Micheals team wins. Reason for bigils death is exposed. It ends with the message - Talent alone is enough. Politics should not play a role in it.

Also, the team is named after micheals brother BIGIL
