10/17/2019: S. 386/H.R. 1044 Practically Dead Today

  • Senator Mike Lee tried today to pass this bill on "unanimous consent" in the Senate, but The American Bazaar reports that Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois blocked the unanimous consent to the bill and instead introduced his own bill that proposes to increase both family and employment-based immigrations, S. 2603. Accordingly, S. 386/H.R. 1044, as an unanimous consent bill, is practically dead.
