Savarkar wrote a book on 1857 named 'The Indian war of independence" in 1909 in his early 20's.

The book was so popular that it was mandatory read for all fighters from Sukhdev to Bhagat Singh.

These brave fighters kept a copy of this book and swore by it.

 

Long before Gandhi was on the scene, Savarkar inspired generations of fighters.

The sentence was for 50 years.

At the age of 28, Britishers sentenced him to 50 years in KaalaPani.

Thats how dangerous they thought he was.

BUT WITH CONDITIONS.

He was not allowed to ever step out of Ratnagiri town.

 

He was one of the few fighters British truly feared.

When Gandhi and Nehru was roaming India like Ambothulu, he was holed first in Andamans and next in Ratnagiri.

 

And he is the one who wrote the book that started the real fight for our independence,

Antha scene ledhu. So many others stayed for full 50 years many simply died there . Veer Savarkar licked British feet right from his imprisonment to get released so quickly. He wrote clemency petition and stuck to it . Never got involved in freedom struggles. And his story about swimming to France is fake. He jumped out of toiled window when ship was anchored at port. And immidetely arrested on port which is technically land of France.

savarkar is a disgrace to his kind. giving him bharat ratna is the perfect way to spit on oneself.
