There are 2 types of Unanimous Consent (UC)

1.) Regular UC - Under this process, every Senate Office gets a prior notice of the UC and each Senate Office gets minimum 24 hours to review the language and decide if they want to put a hold or if they have no problem with the language. 

2.) Live UC - Under LIVE UC process, no prior notice is given to any Senate Office to review the language. Because different Senate offices haven't reviewed the language, it is likely that someone will put a Hold just because they don't even know what is in the language and how it will work. And then it becomes more difficult to resolve their Hold later.

To poison the water and to attract a new Hold to the bill, Durbin is deliberately going to the Senate floor to Live UC the bill and then have another Senate Office put a Hold on the bill. And then Durbin will say that he has done his share and is no longer responsible for passing the bill. And that is why we had put out the FB post where we said that we will keep Durbi responsible even if another Senate Office decides to put a Hold.

In summary, these are all the different games that Durbin Offices plays with every issue. They try to make a show that they are the good guys to pass a bill, but in essence, Durbin if the one who has deliberately killed so many good bills (some of which he said he championed, like Dream Act) and forced the other side to oppose it be. Durbin's methods and the manner in which he conducts himself is not in good faith. He is not a good person

That is why, we need to call his Office to tell him that we know what he is doing, and his shenanigans will not work here

Please folks, need your help. Please call Durbin to register your protest about him not acting in good faith and ask them to not do LIVE UC. Say that if Durbin will do Live UC, we will hold him responsible for systematic ethnic cleansing of Indian immigrants in US

Here is the background, because USCIS will receive 200,000+ Adjustment of Status applications, iranians and indians and everyone will be filing these petitions, USCIS will need to increase capacity. Otherwise USCIS will take 1 year to process these petitions and we don't anyone to wait for 1 year to get the receipt notice for the Adjustment of Status petition

So we suggested adding fees of $500 on filing Adjustment of Status. And many Senate Offices agreed to it. We don't want our folks to not even get a receipt notice for an year. We want everyone to be processed in a timely manner.

Guess what, Durbin, like always, comes out with his crocodile tears to show as if "he is standing up for the right of immigrants and he cannot allow fees"

Look, every time in the past whenever Early Filing language was proposed, it always had some fees. And if we don't pay the fees, then USCIS will take forever to process the petitions. We want everyone to to processed in a timely manner and want to pay fees. But Durbin wants to show-off that he is for immigrants, and using this excuse he is acting up again

This is how he does on every issue. And instead of resolving the issues, he deliberately complicates them and makes it difficult for immigrants. He makes a show that he is for immigrants, whereas the truth is that the outcome of his actions always end up hurting the immigrants, and he knows it
