Staffers represent their boss. Although everyone has their own personality, staffers usually tend to respond based on the instructions/message, which flow down from their boss

Usually, folks in States with lower population tend to receive less calls, and they are much more receptive to hearing from anyone calling them. Offices representing higher population states get a lot more calls, which also means more number of weird calls. That is why such offices tend to be a bit guarded. 

I'd say, try not to read too much into how the staff responds, and try not to correlate the response to your call with their support for the bill, or how you feel about that office. Staffers manning the calls are just doing their job, and they feeling overwhelmed, aggravated or frustrated is just human. I know everyone believes that they deserve to be treated fairly and with respect, nothing wrong with such expectation. But if any staffer says something that you don't like, try not to over analyze it, or read too much into it. Just overlook any such call and simply keep the focus on the bigger goal

Hello friends, 

I am new member of the group. I am living in US from last 15 years. I was familiar with IV but was never aware that there exists any such group and wasn’t aware of the effort you guys are making.

After joining, I asked most of my H1B friends if they are on IV and none of them was aware.

My point here is that we can easily solidify our strength by bringing more H1Bs into our fold. Everyone is frustrated with current system and be willing to support one or the other way.  Most people dont want to lead but they want to follow. You guys already leading so  it wont be a tough job to follow the pack.

Please consider this seriously. I am in Iowa and there are hardly any members from my state while I see H1Bs all the time around in the city. Especially in rural states adding more folks will certainly help as you know every state is equally represented in Senate.

I propose that we inform at-least 5-10 of our H1B friends (or as many as you can) and request and also guide them to join IV. 

Like being in US for 15 years I wasn’t aware of such group, there might be many like me may be willing to join but are not aware.

Please consider this.
