Different bookings or connecting flights same ticket and Delhi lo transfer ante they will do it.. If you had booked seperate ones you may have do it.. 

I may be wrong telling from my cousin experience Newyork to Bangalore book chesukunnadu and switch over at Mumbai.. Luggage transferred by airline at Mumbai and he collected at Bangalore..

Delhi lo customs untadi man. Pick your luggage in delhi, go through customs check and drop off the luggage at the baggage counter, walk to domestic terminal. That's it.

 Air India ayithe T3 nunche domestic service kuda untaadi.. 

T3 is international terminal super untaadi...

friend velladu last yr, delhi lo luggage malli re-checkin chesadu to hyd...better check with the staff during initial check-in

Ye country ki vellina.. first stop over lo baggage check chestaru...you have to pick luggage and drop off..konni places electronically check chestaru where you don’t need to pick your lugguage

Immigration Delhi lo aipothadi kabatti..  need to collect bags, pass through the customs and drop them off at the airlines domestic drop off location

Baggage claim cheskovali.. 

 

Return flight delay aithey from hyd to del then air india turn east and bend antadu. No compensation.

Happened last month.

My mother in law travelled from chicago last week, if its hyderabad, no need to claim luggage in delhi. Hyd lo process antha. Delhi just a terminal change ! Because for hyderbad they will use same flight . infact chicago to hyd okey ticket iccaru.

 

I went to vijayawada last year. For that i have to claim luggage ,travel thru customs and drop the bags again at domestic check in ! 

 

So check for the flight number, if its same from nyc to hyd. No need to claim luggage

Depends on Connecting Flight and layover in Delhi.

 

If it is less than 1.5 hrs customs will be at Hyd if it more than 2.5 hrs in delhi itself.
