AP government sensational decision on Aarogyasri - Tv9 !!!

The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced the Aarogyasri scheme will be applicable for the AP people residing in Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad too. The AP Government has previously announced the scheme for the people of AP in the State, but now they can have health services in the top-most hospitals of Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Chennai. Patients whose medical expenses exceed Rs. 1,000 are eligible for the benefits of the scheme in these 3 cities.

Now AP government would provide an allowance of Rs 225/day to those Aarogyasri patients who undergo surgery operation. The state government would provide Rs. 5,000 per month for those suffering from serious diseases until they recover. Sanitation workers will be receiving Rs 16,000 salary, according to the YSRCP government.

okay. but this is crony capitalism too.

why pay private  hospitals? why not build more govt hospitals. I think a single payer option that works with other state govt hospitals too (in partnership) is the best.

unless govt (the payer) sets prices for procedures in private hospitals, its a scheme that gives public money to private hospital owners.

a govt budget is not the same as a household. they don't always have to balance the books. sure,  states don't have the ability to print money and fund their expenses, but may be jagan has different plans.

either way, if max people in the state benefit, anything is fine. smart healthy population can pick themselves from whatever situation, compared to a population that is beaten down and made to feel like they owe their govt for giving them jobs. what you speak of is silly.

the point of the govt is to benefit the max number of people, and make sure that more people don't get left out. its not their job to lecture people on morals and competitiveness. lol.

He did his part . Massively increased pensions and had schemes like anna canteen. Jagga cut anna canteen and using it to fund arogyasri as it is more ysr legacy.
