graciously accepted the peoples verdict/reality and rejected even the idea of to form the govt with the help of shiv sena and cong but chose to sit in opposition than doing some jumla politics to form government or even the idea of putting BJP in the spot(shiv sena is using cong and ncp in negotiations with BjP).setting the example of an ideal politician

No one expected to do politics with the seats he won...Being the third largest party, only option is to form government with Congress and SS but when there is already a coalition agreement between BJp and SS, apart from accepting defeat and staying in opposition as leader of the house, what else can NCP do ?

Of course, There is always an option to do a stint like CBN did after May 23rd to ascertain why he lost and push the blame on EVM’s, But Sharad Pawar is a seasoned politician and blame game would be very less of a stature to claim.

he let down the people that voted for him by not even trying. who voted for this joker.

Let down ? Okay but I was wondering how ?

With the number of seats NCP won, what better he could do ? Get the 2nd,3rd and 4th largest parties to form the government ?

frankly, I didn't even think his party gets double digit seats. exceptional performance by NCP

NCP is powerful enough to get decent seats....

If it had contested on its own, in all 288 seats, then he would have won more seats than what NCP won with alliance with Congress.
