తెలుగు సినిమా అసలు కమర్షియల్ జర్నీ మొదలైంది కూడా ఈ చిత్రంతోనే. ఈ ఫార్ములాను పట్టుకునే ఇండస్ట్రీ కమర్షియల్ ఫార్మాట్ అనే కొత్త దారిని వెతుక్కుంది. అసలు ఈ సినిమా కథను పరుచూరి బ్రదర్స్ మాటలతో సహా కేవలం 3 రోజుల్లో పూర్తిచేయడం విశేషం. ఈ చిత్రంలో క్లాసిక్ అని చెప్పుకోదగిన సీన్ పోలీస్ స్టేషన్ ఫైట్ సీన్. చిరు పోలీసుల్ని మెరుపు వేగంతో కొడుతుంటే తామే కొట్టినంత భావోద్వేగానికి గురయ్యేవాళ్ళమని అంటుంటారు అప్పటి ప్రేక్షకులు. ఇప్పటికీ ఈ సన్నివేశాన్ని ప్రేక్షకుల్ని ఇంప్రెస్ చేయడం కోసం వాడేస్తుంటారు చాలా మంది.

ఈ సినిమా ఇంత గొప్పగా మారడానికి కథా రచయితలు పరుచూరి బ్రదర్స్, దర్శకుడు కోదండరామిరెడ్డి ఎంత కారకులో కథానాయకుడు చిరంజీవి కూడా అంతే కారకుడు. ఈ సినిమా విడుదలయ్యే నాటికి ఎన్టీఆర్ పూర్తిస్థాయి రాజకీయాల్లోకి వెళ్లిపోయారు. దీంతో ఆయన స్థానాన్ని భర్తీ చేసే నటుడి కోసం తెలుగు జనం ఎదురుచూస్తున్న తరుణంలో ‘ఖైదీ’తో అది నేనే అంటూ దిక్కులు పిక్కటిల్లేలా గర్జించాడు చిరంజీవి.
అతి తక్కువ వ్యయంతో రూపొందిన సినిమా రూ.4 కోట్ల రూపాయలు రాబట్టడం చూసిన ప్రతిఒక్కరికీ ఇకపై నెంబర్ వన్ చిరంజీవే అనే సంగతి అర్థమైంది.

అప్పటికే చిరు 55కు పైగానే సినిమాలు చేసినా స్టార్ హీరోగా ఆయన జర్నీ మొదలైంది మాత్రం ‘ఖైదీ’తోనే. అప్పుడు మొదలైన ఆయన సరికొత్త ప్రస్థానం 36 ఏళ్లు గడిచినా అప్రతిహతంగా కొనసాగుతూనే ఉంది. అందుకు సాక్ష్యమే నిన్న మొన్నటి ‘ఖైదీ నెం.150, సైరా’ చిత్రాల రికార్డ్ కలెక్షన్లు. ఈ సినిమా వేసిన పునాదుల మీదే మెగాస్టార్ అనే మహా సామ్రాజ్యాన్ని నిర్మించుకున్నారు చిరు.
అందుకే ‘ఖైదీ’ చిత్రమంటే చిరుకు అయన అభిమానులకు మాత్రమే కాదు ప్రతి తెలుగు ప్రేక్షకుడికి ఎంతో ప్రత్యేకం.

Director is very important and captain of ship but his capability also involves identifying proper artist to execute his idea on the screen else if he fails in it the result shall be a dud...

i doubt they put that info in title or end credits.. chudali.. mostly yandamuri novels anni movies laaga came.. challenge, abhilasha, marana mrudangam....

Titles lo mention cheyyaledu gaani they (parachoori brothers) mentioned about it during interviews.. 

Yendumoori veerendarnath novels use chesaaru he worked with Konda da raami reddy and Chiranjeevi for multiple movies few of them which you mentioned.. Kondaveeti Donga ki kooda yendumoori worked..
