American shows keep writing themselves into a corner, and fizzle out after a couple seasons.

AoT, and similar Japanese shows expertly create worlds larger than you can even imagine, so they can never write themselves into a corner.

even Deathnote kept soaring and soaring inspite of running out of material to play with by the end of 1st season.

that guy is a legend.

read the culture series if you can. it has AI creatingworlds and maintaining humans inside it. the writing is not as sharp as Heinlein, but the concept is amazing.whether humans are prisoners of the system r have stake  in it is the overarching theme of the book.

the AI doesn't treat humans badly. in fact one of them gives up its life to save humans.
