This was the best time to remove it if you look at it. There is no US military presence in PAK. No hunting bin laden or any other big leader for the US. So the Americans are not there anymore. Pak economy has gone to the dogs and they cannot wage a war as they don’t have money. They can barely fund separatist groups in POK. On the Indian side, govt had huge numbers politically and are secure enough economically to fight any war. A time like this would not have come to us ever again. Decision well made imo.

no the waiting has no strategic value, as everyone saw how India lost a plane and a pilot got captured, and became an international joke.
