Cognizant to lay off 7,000 mid-to-senior employees by 2020

Cognizant plans to simplify the way it works, lower its cost structure and fund investments. The company would remove 10,000 to 12,000 mid-to-senior level employees from their current roles.

12,000 employees redundant: The company has chalked out a '2020 Fit for Growth Plan', which is expected to run for two years. This program is designed to simplify the way Cognizant works, lower its cost structure and fund investments. As part of this plan, the company would remove 10,000 to 12,000 mid-to-senior level employees from their current roles. Brian Humphries, the Chief Executive Officer, said that 12,000 was a gross reduction number and. . . .

cogni do eb1 if your are senior level....

if you are tamil, they do eb1 even your mid level...

7k is ocean lo drop , 300k employee anukunta if i am correct avi regular ga ne aitayi anukunta because they run in billing mode people on bench for loing time etc

may be 6% still not bad... can't except a company to keep under performing people or form a union.

attrition rate of 10% is normal. firing 6% is not normal ? strange !!!
