Blockbuster Rangasthalam In Lawrence's Hands!

Rangasthalam is not only one of the biggest hits in Telugu Cinema history but also one of the modern day classics.

A rural period romance laced with all the commercial elements, Rangasthalam had set the cash registers ringing and went on to set new Non-Baahubali records at the box office.Now this film is going to be remade in Tamil.

Mythri Movie Makers have sold the remake rights of Rangasthalam for Rs. 1.5 Crore and guess what, Lawrence has bagged the Tamil remake rights.

Is he going to play the lead role in Tamil version? Looks like it is Lawrence's idea behind bagging the rights. Lingusaamy is the frontrunner to direct Rangasthalam in Tamil.

This is a surprising combination given the track record of Lawrence and Lingusaamy. Both are known for mass masala stuff targeted at frontbenchers.

Can they do justice to it and make the remake as memorable as the original?
