Telugu engineer in Green Card backlog dies

 

Washington: A US-based software engineer, whose name was listed in the Green Card backlog, died suddenly and as a result, his pregnant wife has been rendered out of status resulting in her inevitable return to India, a media report said.

Shiva Chalapathi Raju, who was based in North Carolina, died suddenly on Tuesday, The American Bazaar reported on Thursday.

Really to hear sad news...but this is the law of the land and everybody knows that h1b is a non-immigrant visa and rights and duties are clearly defined for non-immigrant Visa holders. They haven't changed the rules yesterday to claim it is a foul play. You know the rules before you come into the country and there is a legal queue for Green Card. Not sure the point in complaining now.

 

Obviously the public representatives work in the best interests of citizens of their country. Does Indian government make rules to help and safeguard the interests of people from Bangladesh just because lot of people are pouring in from Bangladesh. The expectation itself is absurd.
