nightkalalu
@Sucker any updates ippude ivee fb lo susa negotiations nadustunnayi anta emanna chance undu vadu hold teeseyadaniki Dear Friends, You may have probably heard the chatter about there being some light at the end of the tunnel. Many of the folks calling Senator Durbin's office are reporting that they are told by his staffers that Senator Durbin is negotiating with Senator Lee. And that the two Senators are working on a deal to release Senator Durbin’s hold on the Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act. This means only one thing - that our calls to Senator Durbin are working and when we find a formula that works, we just have to keep repeating it until the bill is done. Although these reports are true, the reality is that we all already know how much Senator Durbin hates Indian Americans. His hate for Indian Americans is so profound that we don't believe any such negotiation/deal unless we see the final deal. It may sound as if the deal may be close, but until it is final and official, there is no deal. Period. And it means that we all need to continue to raise our voices and we all need to continue calling Senator Durbin Office to tell them how much it hurts your families if he continues to block S.386 - The Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act. It appears that there is some progress with the negotiations, but we all need to continue to do our share and call Senator Durbin Office to make our voices heard so that the bill can pass Congress. Thank you for everyone who has been making these very important phone calls. We get closer to the finish line every day because of your participation. Please call Senator Durbin at (202) 224-2152 to make your voices heard. It is now or never. Team IV https://www.facebook.com/ImmigrationVoice/ See his response... okadu adigadu negotiations avuthunnaya proof enti ani. Mana Aman kapoor gadi response. Nothing is going on. Negotiations levu vratta kaya ledu. DACA set ayye varaku Dems immi Bill ni munduku ponivvaru. We have been winning to create a more fair system and and the environment where we live. Congress never does anything by itself. The process demands that Congress will only act on any issue when people demand action from Congress. The fact that we have reached here, it just shows that we have beat down every opposition along the way. How else would we reach here? Is there any other immigration related bill which has made the progress that our bill has made? And now, with the Durbin hold, our calls are working and we are winning because these calls are speaking the truth. There is great invisible power in the truth. That is why even Durbin Office is confirming that Senator Durbin is negotiating in Senator Lee. The way the system works, we believe that there would be no negotiation if it were not for all the public demand to seek equality. As we posted in our infamous FB post “We will never forget” - Senator Durbin was in no mood to find a way to let the bill pass. He was only engaged in using his parody and fake bill as a tool to block the Fairness bill. He thought that we will just cave into corner and touch his feet and wish him “happy birthday”. We know for fact that that is not just suicidal but that is like encouraging the ethnic cleansing policies of someone who hates us and has discriminated against us. That is why, the response has to be matured and firm. It cannot be fake flattery The only reason why there is even any negotiation between Senator Durbin and Lee is because of the firm calls and pressure to demand for equality. And that is the sufficient proof that the calls are working. Which is why, we need to re-double our efforts on the calls, demanding equality and speaking truth to power. Bills are long drawn process that require deep persistence and sincerity. And when the people will do their share in being persistent in demanding equality, then we will make themselves deserving of the change we seek. That is simply the natural progression of how the system works

That is simply the natural progression of how the system works Immigration voice guys seem to be genuinely working for passing this bill. When telugu people apply for student visa - almost all show proof or tell stories saying you will return back after studies. But many rarely go back. Many students work illegally while studying. Then the illegal activity continues. They take training from some desi consultancy and inflate their resume and then do sorts of fraud in interviews etc. I am not saying all are dishonest but most are. Out of 600K people waiting for GC most would have done this . If they all become GC holders, the whole IT industry will become corrupt as most are used to doing these things with impunity. There are Americans who inflate their resume but Telugu people are at a different level on this. when you come here you come with kids of any age, even in the middle of the school year. But to go back if the extension is denied , you whine with all sorts of excuses - kids education, middle of the school year etc Very few people from India are honest and talented, who studied at reputed universities and are hired in campus by american companies. USA needs that type of immigrants. Not immigrants who cheat and lie for money. Because of all the others who cheat, the genuine highly talented students are also facing problems (like not getting selected in H1b lottery etc.) Politicians look for votes and not for rights of non-citizens as they cannot vote. That's one of the reasons why this bill has a very little chance of getting approved by Senate. And that's one of the reasons why Trump will never sign this bill.
